KRITSA HOTEL - Portaria, Pelion, Greece

There are many mountainous villages spread out across the Pelion peninsula, each with it's own unique charm and beauty. One of the most famous is the village of Portaria, located at an altitude of 650 meters, overlooking the city of Volos and the waters of the Pagasitic Gulf.

Portaria is an extremely traditional and beautiful village, and one whose apperance changes throughout the seasons of the year. With the lovely scenery, the spring waters and the stone paths, one can spend hours exploring this magical place with it's authentic appearance and charm.

Located in the main square of Portaria is where you will find the "Kritsa Hotel", a three-storey neoclassical building that was originally constructed in 1900.

Up until 1930, the building was operating as a dairy. It was then completely renovated in 2000, and for many years, the "Kritsa Hotel" has been offering a wonderful selection of comfortable and quality accommodation to visitors from all over the world, who have come here to experience the raw and natural beauty of Pelion.

Centrally located in the village, with the huge plane trees and sounds of running water from the natural water springs, the hotel is an ideal base from which visitors to Pelion can enjoy the wonders of Pelion, and visit some of the other villages and towns across this wonderful peninsula.

There are a total of 8 rooms at the "Kritsa Hotel", each of which has been carefully furnished and decorated, creating a very comfortable and relaxing setting. With their elegant colours and soft furnishings, we are confident that you will find our rooms more than suitable for your stay here with us.

The single space rooms are furnished with one double or two single beds, have double glazing for heat and sound insulation, colour cable TV and radio, telephone, internet access, shower, central heating and fire protection. Some of the rooms also have their own balcony overlooking the beautiful square of the village. All of the rooms have a fridge, plasma TV, DVD player, Air condition and free wifi internet access.

The "Kritsa Hotel" also operate a restaurant at the hotel. The restaurant is very famous, and here you can enjoy a wonderful selection of tasty and freshly prepared cuisine. We have a wide variety of meals and dishes, some of which are unique to our restaurant.
