PELION SAIL & CYCLE, Milina, Pelion, Greece
The majestic Pelion peninsula is known
throughout Greece for it's truly unique and inspiring setting.
It is the perfect combination of sea and mountains, blending together
creating a setting unlike any other.
From the mountainous villages scattered all across the peninsula,
to the small coastal resorts and hamlets, Pelion is a place that
has something for everyone, and a destination where you can experience
wonderful holidays throughout the year.
Milina is a beautiful village by the sea with a wonderful view of the Pagasitic Gulf.
Near this impressive village you can find quite picturesque beaches and bays with crystal clean waters.
Pelion Sail and Cycle is the centre for sailing dinghy, kayak, and bicycle hire in Pelion.
We are located just outside Milina, the main tourist centre in Pelion, in a quiet fishing cove surrounded by olive groves.
The sea here is sheltered by Alatas Island, making it a safe place for beginners to learn or improve their skills at sailing.
More confident sailors can sail around Alatas, or take a trip along the coast to Marathias, Prasouda Island, Tzasteni or Horto.
If you are just starting out at sailing, you can book "Accompanied Sails", where an experienced sailor accompanies you on your dinghy
and shows you the necessary skills. Once you are ready to sail alone for the first time, you can book an experienced sailor to
sail alongside you in a second boat and practice "Follow-the-Leader".
All boats are kitted with a dry bag with everything you need for safety at sea, and there is also a safety boat available should
you need assistance.
Our sea kayaks are light, fast, stable and manoeuvrable in the water. They are a great way for one or two people to potter around
the local coves. The sit-on-top design means that there is no fear of rolling under the boat. Children love swimming and diving
from the kayaks, or being towed along behind.
Our mountain bikes are the perfect way to explore the countryside. Donkey tracks and footpaths criss-cross the whole of Pelion,
leading you through empty valleys and over mountain tops to deserted beaches. Keen cyclists can tackle Mount Pelion, 1600 meters
above sea level, with outstanding views to the Aegean and the Pagasitic Gulf. "Sunday bikers" can follow the coast roads on easy
cycles and explore the villages and tavernas at a gentle, leisurely pace.
Whatever activity appeals to you, come to Pelion Sail and Cycle and let us help to make your holiday a fun and memorable one.
We look forward to seeing you!
