ANILIO - PELION ( PILIO ) - GREECE
Anilio is a mountainous village at an altitude of 350m, located in a forest with chestnut and hazelnut trees. It is 53km from Volos.
The villagers grow flowers such as Gardenias, Camellias and Ortansias for the purpose of selling. The chestnuts and hazelnuts that grow in the forest are also used for trade.
You can visit the 18th century church of Agios Athanasios. The wooden icons are magnificent. Also if you can, visit the chapel of Ag.Triada that has many impressive frescos and icons.
For swimming you can go to the beautiful beaches of Banica and Plaka, which are very close to the village and have very striking clean crystal waters.
