KERAMIDI - PELION ( PILIO ) - GREECE
Keramidi is the most northern village in Pelion at an altitude of 220m and 44km from Volos. It is a very beautiful and traditional village, and is built on a green hill, with a stunning view of the Aegean Sea.
In the main square of the village is the church of Agios Georgios, which was built in 1747. On April 23rd is his name day and a big celebration takes place, where traditional wheat rice (Pligour) is served.
A little further out from the village are the ruins of a Venetian castle. The villagers here are occupied with olive trees and stockbreeding.
If you would like to swim, you can go to the glorious beach of Kamari, which is just 4km away. Here you will find fish tavernas serving fresh fish.
