The mountainous village of Afetes is a prime example. Situated 27km from the city of Volos, Afetes is built in the form of an amphitheatre, full of olive groves and rich vegetation, with views towards the resort of Afissos on the Pagasitic Gulf.

Here in Afetes, you will find the popular "Rematia Taverna", which is where we are based. Situated in a part of the village filled with rich natural beauty, our taverna is perfectly placed to offer you both a unique selection of meals and an inspiring scenery, both relaxing and alive.

At our taverna, we offer a wonderful selection of fresh home cooked meals, including some specialities and traditional Pelion recipes that you will not find anywhere else. We also have a lovely selection of local wines to compliment your meals.

During the spring and summer months, you can take a table outside, and enjoy your meal surrounded by the luscious greenery that Pelion is so famous for. In the winter months, you can take a seat inside our cosy taverna, and warm up from the bitter cold outside.
