Beaches of Pelion
The Pelion peninsula has been blessed with some of the most beautiful and unique beaches in Greece. All around the coastline, you will find a wonderful selection of beaches, offering you the perfect setting to enjoy your summer holidays in Pelion.
With the blue waters of both the Aegean Sea on the eastern coast, and the Pagsitic Gulf on the southern part of the peninsula, you will never have too much trouble trying to find a beautiful beach.
There are sand beaches, as well as white pebble beaches. We are confident that you will easily be able to find the type of beach you are looking for.
There are many beautiful coastal resorts in Pelion, and many these have been awarded the "Blue Flag" by the European Union in recognition of their exceptionally clean beaches and water.

Afissos
In Afissos there are several beautiful beaches, with the most popular being
those of Abovos and Kaliftheri, which are both soft sandy beaches.

Boufa
The beach of Boufa is onen of the largest beach in Pelion, and is situated between the villages of Kala Nera and Afissos. This sandy beach is one of the most popular in Pelion, and one that every visitor to Pelion should try to visit.

The beach of the popular resort of Kala Nera is a very popular and beautiful
one, and has been awarded the "Blue Flag". The waters here are
beautiful and ideal for bathing in the summer. All along the beach you will
find a wonderful selection of cafe bars and tavernas, as well as a great
selection of accommodation.

Kato Lehonia
This is the first nice beach you will find on route from Volos. There are
several bars and cafes operating here where you can enjoy a drink or light
snack.

Aegean Sea Beaches of Pelion
Agioi Saranta
The golden sandy beach of Agioi Saranta, located slightly north of Agios
Ioannis is another famous beach in the region, and one that attracts a large
number of visitors from all over the Pelion peninsula.

The large sandy beach of Agios Ioannis is a very popular beach on the eastern
side of Pelion, and the coastal town itself is a very popular holiday resort
in Pelion.

The beach of Fakistra is a popular beach with visitors to the village of
Tsagarada. The beach is surrounded by large rocks and greenery.

The beach of Horefto is a large and charming sandy beach, surrounded by

Mikro
The beach of Mikro is one of the most beautiful in Pelion, with a huge stretch
of sandy beach and the refreshing cool waters of the Aegean Sea. Though
the hamlet of Mikro is a small one, the beach means that it is always a
popular destination during the summer months.

Milopotamos
Milopotamos in Tsagarada is one of the most famous beaches in Pelion. It is a beach of
golden sand, and crystal blue waters. There are also several other charming
beaches located close by.

Paltsi
The beach of Paltsi (Agios Konstantinos) is a very popular one on the east coast of the Pelion
peninsula. The sandy beach is very long, and is ideal for relaxing summer
afternoons.

The beach of Papa Nero is a lovely sandy one, where the greenery and mountains
stretch down to the sea. It is a very peaceful and enjoyable beach.
