How to Get to Pelion


Pelion is located on the eastside of Mainland Greece and is part of the county of Magnesia, located in Thessaly. It is very easy to reach the Pelion peninsula, and there are various ways that you can get there. There are also the airports in Larissa and the nearby island of Skiathos, which are very convenient, and these are flights that you should be able to find all year round.

Buses to Pelion Greece - Bus Coach Travel

The KTEL bus service operates many routes that lead directly into the city of Volos. There are many services daily arriving from and departing to Athens (210 8317 186), Thessalonika (2310 543087) and Patra (2610 222164), as well as other smaller cities around Greece.

Trains to Pelion Greece - Rail Travel

The Greek National Railway (OSE) offers travel to and from Athens (210 524 0646), via Larissa and Thessaloniki (2310 517517). Be warned though, that the trains journies can sometimes be quite long.

Ferries to Pelion Greece - Sea Boat Travel

Volos, which is the 4th busiest port in Greece, is suitable for all different types of seacraft, and yachts are more than welcome to stay here.

There are ferry boats that operate to and from the islands of the Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos in the Sporades which one can catch at the port of Volos.
