HOREFTO - PELION ( PILIO ) - GREECE
Horefto is a village by the sea, and is 56km from Volos and 9km from Zagora. It has a well-organised tourist infrastructure and you can find rooms to let, tavernas and bars.
It used to be a very famous port, where the traders of Zagora would depart to sail to Europe and all over the world.
The famous Greek poet George Drosinis took inspiration from here and expressed it for his poem selection "Galini", which means calm.
The village has a big and sandy beach, with luscious green scenery, right next to the beach. On the north side of the village you can follow the paths that end up at the sandy beaches of Parisena and Analipsi.
You can sail with the boat and visit the old Migela (Mitzela) and also the old impressive caves at the ancient city of "Ipnon".
