On August 15th a big festival takes place at the square with music and dance, and goes on until the early hours of the next morning. Every September, there is the Cheastnut Festival, which is organised, where visitors can join in the celebrations, and try a variety of cheastnut dishes and sweets.

Recently, a copper mine has been discovered, which dates from 2500 years ago.

You can talk a beautiful walk through the forest with its beautiful green scenery and spring waters. If you keep walking it will take you through to the beautiful beach of Limninas. Here you can enjoy a long cool swim.
