This is a port-serving hamlet for the village of Ano Lehonia, and is situated right next to the sea. It is 2km from Ano Lehonia and 13km from Volos.
It is a beautiful sea resort and here you can find rooms to let and fish tavernas along the coast. The local fishermen catch all the fish fresh.
Though fairly small in size, Platanidia is a very beautiful part of Pelion, and is set in beautiful and pictureque surroundings. It is also very peaceful and relaxing here.
