SIKI - PELION ( PILIO ) - GREECE
With a beautiful view of the Aegean Sea, Siki is a traditional mountain village 38km from Volos and at an altitude of 290m.
During the Turkish occupation, the village was destroyed by the Turks, as well as the monastery of Timiou Prothromou, which dated from 1795. In 1840 the monastery was rebuilt and today is actually a monastery for women.
At the village square you can see the chapel of Agios Georgios with very old icons, frescos and old precious relics.
For swimming you can go to the beaches of Pantzai Ammos, and Potoki, which is 4.5km away.
