Kalamaki Pelion

Kalamakia, or Propan as it used to be called, is a mountainous village 40km from Volos. It has a beautiful, paved square with large plain trees. Here you can enjoy a coffee or tsipouro, sitting under the trees.

There are paths that will take you on peaceful walks with scenery of old stone houses and mansions and also past scenes of beautiful nature.

You will feel as if you have travelled back in time. The village is mostly occupied with farming and "paving stones".

These are dug up from the quarries, which are a little out of the village. For swimming you can go to the beach of Labinou. It is a small beach but very beautiful and sandy.
